the latest conversation
After a 2 week break for Christmas, Gunnar was getting ready on Monday morning to go back to school. Tygar was pouting on the couch watching Gunnar get his coat on and putting on his backpack to go out to the bus stop. I had just had a conversation with Tygar that he will be able to get on the school bus and go to kindergarten next year when he is 5. After a few minutes of silence Tygar said, “Mom, I want to be 5. Can God make me 5 right now?” (pause) “God, please make me 5 right now.” (pause) Then as Gunnar was walking out the door to the bus stop he said, “God said no.”
