I love photography.
A few years ago, Greg surprised me with a Nikon D100 as a gift that I have affectionately nicknamed Nanney. We name our cars, so I can name my camera, right?
Since then, I have taken a few Shoot Fly Shoot online classes, watched a ton of Kent Weakley’s videos, sat in on a few classes taught by Darcy Milder, subscribed to reading articles from Digital Photography School…and so much more, all in an effort to master the art of photography & use my DSLR to her full potential. It is not easy. It is so much more technical than it looks and sometimes my brain gets all confused with f/stops & ISO & shutter speed, oh my. I’m not even going to discuss all the editing options out there.
I do not think I will ever make photography a profession and I’m ok with that. I love it and I’ll continue to capture what’s going on around me with whatever camera I have with me, Nanney or my iPhone.
As I have explored this love of photography, I have found inspiration from so many photographers. I love Instagram & the community that it brings {click here to follow me on Instagram}.
Earlier this year, I started following Justine Gordon on Instagram. Her images are stunning. Here are just a few:
More of her incredible images can be found on Redbubble & Flickr. Thanks Justine for allowing me to share a few of your photographs here.
One thing that I’ve learned as a blogger is that there are some incredible photographers that are also bloggers. Just like a magazine, they use photographs to tell a story, share an image of their home, a product in their shop, a lovely landscape or clothing.
Perfect examples of this inspiration:
Nesting Place {she’ll try & tell you she’s not a photographer, but her pictures tell a story no matter the quality & I love that about her}
Chatting at the Sky {her images bring you into her writing}
Gussy Sews {a perfect example of personally marketing her product making you want to buy everything in her shop!}
A Beautiful Mess {stunning images compliment their “daily inspiration for crafts, recipes, fashion and decor…”}
White on Rice Couple {I can spend hours clicking around this site}
