The Christmas Playlist That Will Never Get Old

A few of you asked if I had a Christmas playlist that I could share with you. I thought about just making a playlist of my two favorite Christmas songs, “O Holy Night” and “Little Drummer Boy” but I would probably be the only one that would listen to that over and over.

Instead, I decided to share our playlist of Christmas music that will never get old. The songs that we love to listen to each year when we decorate the tree, bake cookies, wrap presents, open presents…If you come over to our house during the Christmas season, you’ll hear these songs. Each year we add a few more to the playlist as artists remake our favorite songs. {The new addition this year is “We Three Kings” by Rod Stewart & Mary J. Blige}.

Obviously, there are hundreds of versions of these songs but here’s a collection of some of our favorites ::

Joy to The World :: David Archuleta
I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus :: Fanmail ~ I couldn’t find an mp3 available for this song but here’s the link to the entire album.
O Holy Night :: Faith Hill
Silent Night :: Wynonna
Jingle Bells :: Glee Cast Version
Little Drummer Boy :: Josh Groban
The First Noel :: Tony Bennett & Placido Domingo
We Three Kings :: Rod Stewart with Mary J. Blige
Santa Claus is Comin’ To Town :: Bruce Springsteen
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer :: Gene Autry
Holly Jolly Christmas :: Burl Ives
White Christmas :: Bing Crosby
Auld Lang Syne :: Straight No Chaser
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas :: Frank Sinatra
It Must Have Been Ol’ Santa Claus :: Harry Connick, Jr.
Jesus O What a Wonderful Child :: Mariah Carey
Jingle Bell Rock :: Bobby Helms
Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree :: Brenda Lee
Blue Christmas :: Elvis Presley
Baby It’s Cold Outside :: Dean Martin with Martina McBride
Feliz Navidad :: José Feliciano
Dominick The Donkey :: Lou Monte {I couldn’t find this song on Grooveshark to include in the playlist but it is a big fav!}

AND I could have included EVERY song on this album ~ Merry Christmas :: Mariah Carey !

What’s your favorite Christmas song? or album?

    “Mary Did You Know” is one of my favorites…it’s not the most upbeat tune, but the way it swells into the bridge (sorta like Advent swells into Christmas) gets me every time. Love this playlist, Caroline – I listened to it as I made fudge this morning :)
