Survival on long road trips for TeSelles requires snacks {we will miss you Twinkies!} and music! Mostly we make a playlist of songs that range from mostly new pop songs to country to alternative to hip hop to…well, you get the idea. Sometimes the playlist consists of oldies but goodies. Sometimes we let the kids pick {key word is sometimes!}. We have even have friends makes us playlists of their favorites for our long road trips.
Here’s our latest edition that helped us survive the travels over Thanksgiving:
Champion :: The Chevin ~ has an 80s, U2 vibe
One More Night :: Maroon 5 ~ {the clean version} true confession…I know they may not always have the most redeeming lyrics, but I love their music.
Home :: Phillip Phillips ~ such a good song!
Tongue Tied :: GROUPLOVE ~ a weird start but it’s a catchy driving song
50 Ways to Say Goodbye :: Train ~ hilarious lyrics for a break-up song
It’s Time :: Imagine Dragons ~ one word…mandolin!
Good Time :: Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen ~ the kids love this one
Girl on Fire :: Alicia Keys ~ Tygar’s re-enactment of the chorus is now a classic TeSelle memory
Little Talks :: Of Monsters & Men ~ I’m a sucker for guy/girl duets
Wild One :: Flo Rida ~ every playlist needs a groovy tune to make you car dance!
Just a Fool :: Christina Aguilera & Blake Shelton ~ DUET!
Feel Again :: OneRepublic ~ finger & toe tapping with some woooohs, woooohs!

Oh, Mumford and Sons AND Carrie Underwood? I like what I’m seeing! Off the top of my head…I’d add “Drops of Jupiter” (Train) and “Everywhere” (Michelle Branch).
