31 Days of Rest & Risk :: Day 9 ~ Beach House Part Two

Sometimes you have to take a RISK in order to REST.

Yesterday, I told you about my dream to REST. Today, I’ll share about the RISK.

What’s the RISK involved in planning a trip to the beach with your best friends?

Plenty.

Will anyone come? Will the cost of transportation keep them from being able to come? Will these random friends that I’ve invited from across the country that do not know each other be able to get along with each other living under one roof for one week? Will we have enough food? Will I have to plan activities for those that aren’t beach lovers? Will I have wasted a few thousand dollars to make this dream come true & only a few can come?

Then you remember the dream :: A week for us to rest like an adult & play like a child.

Feeling scared or apprehensive about the risk doesn’t seem to matter anymore.

The outcome?

Lifelong friendships were started this week by the most unlikely of friends. We shared our hearts & lives & we were blessed.

I was blessed. I took a RISK and I was BLESSED. Seems crazy to put those two words together, but it’s true.
