Once or twice a year we ditch, I mean, drop off the kids at my parents house or hire a sitter and take off. The past few years we have had the incredible honor of spending our weekend away with some dear friends.
Sometimes it’s just the two of us. Sometimes it’s a weekend. Sometimes it’s just a day.
The point being to spend time together sans children.
A time for us to REST & to consider the RISKS that have been roaming around in our minds. We encourage each other to make sure we are getting the REST and taking the RISKS that are required to make our marriage & faith adventure work for us.
So, when’s our next trip Greg??

Love this idea…I’d be interested in hearing about some of the fruit that’s come out of these sorts of getaways!

I think the next one should definitely still be in NC – and a stop by my house before or after would be sweet! I’d even watch your kiddos:)

NOT SO EASY TO HAVE THE KIDS VISIT WITH US IN N.C. NOW THAT YOU LIVE IN LEMONT. {TIP FOR THE DAY} SUPPOSE YOU COULD PUT THEM ON A BUS (like we did you and David in 1978. Grandmother Pete was pleased to have you in N.C.).
Then we were happy to have a party for 40•••
Now we e coursge you and Greg work out your time of rest.
