we spent a lot of time doing what you see in this picture this past weekend. it was a wonderful weekend away with some dear friends. we stayed at this cottage. beautiful. comfortable. thoughtful. lovely. just what we needed.
while exploring the town of Waynesville, NC we enjoyed some amazing coffee at the Smoky Mountain Coffee Roasters. i couldn’t find a webpage for them, but if you’re close to Waynesville in the Hazelwood neighborhood, it’s not hard to find. or just put your head out the window of the car and sniff. they roast the coffee beans in the coffee shop. best cup of coffee i’ve had in a long time.
we also enjoyed an amazing dinner at The Sweet Onion. if you order a salad, make sure you try the Lemon Grass Vinaigrette dressing. delicious. every entree we had, we enjoyed!
below are a few more highlights from the weekend:
the view from the cottage. it was mesmerizing. and peaceful.
so nice to see greg so relaxed. snacks help with that. and see, he can’t take his eyes off that view. mesmerizing, i tell you.
i did not tweak this. it really was this color.
thanks for stopping by!

The first is my favorite. I love the way the sunshine, streaks in the sky, and the mountains are in full view along with 4 of my favorite people. I’m so glad you had a great, relaxing time.
