below are a few pictures from twickenham, an amazing house near jefferson, nc that 25 of us had an opportunity to enjoy this weekend. the entire time i was there, it was chilly, foggy and rainy. i didn’t mind that at all because it gave me an excuse to relax and enjoy the company of the lovely people gathered there.
despite my efforts to relax, i somehow managed to strain my hamstring while i was there. apparently, just thinking about going on a hike sent my body into a revolt! oh, and once again, my body confirmed that i’m a “sea-level lady” because once i descended the mountain, the migraine that had been bugging me all weekend disappeared.
the morning we left, the trees were covered with frosty ice and the fog was thick. i loved sitting in the warm house, looking out the window at the fog and how it made the trees look dreamy. on the other hand, i absolutely hated to drive in fog. leaving twickenham and driving down the mountain, through boone and blowing rock down to hickory, wasn’t what i would call a nice leisurely drive that day. despite the crazy drive home, it was an incredible weekend. hope you enjoy a few of my pictures.

These are so dreamy! And the one with the fence almost looks like a movie set!
